A 19-4 second quarter spurt propelled Wallace-Rose Hill to a 37-16 halftime lead, and the Bulldogs went on to defeat East Bladen 72-50 in Four County Conference jayvee boys basketball action at East Thursday night.

Messiah Leach and Darrell Banks bombed in 3-point shots, and Anthony Wooten and Leach added a basket each for East Bladen in the first quarter, but the Bulldogs still forged an 18-12 lead.

After the Bulldog second period blitz, the Eagles rallied in the third quarter as Zaire Turner-Dobson drained a pair of 3-point shots and dropped in 2 more baskets. Curtis McCormick tossed in a pair of hoops, and Leach hit 2 free throws and a field goal as East Bladen whittled the deficit to 52-36.

Freshman Greyson Heustess sank 4 free throws in the final quarter, and Leach made 2 more. Joshua Wyatt, Wilson Bolden, Xavier Wooten and Sadique Ingram scored one basket each for the Eagles in the period.

Leach led the East Bladen scoring with 11 points, and Turner-Dobson followed with 10 points. Xavier Wooten finished with 6 points.
