BLADENBORO – West Bladen exploded for 18 points in the final period Friday and defeated West Columbus 24-19 in non-conference jayvee boys basketball action.
West Columbus led 12-6 after 3 periods. Noah Hall threw in 2 baskets and a free throw in the final quarter for West Bladen. Center Tyleak Ballard and Connor Monroe tossed in 2 baskets each, and Cade Allen added a basket and a free throw to ignite the 18-7 closing run.
Allen led the Knights with 7 points. Hall finished with 5 points, and Ballard, Monroe and Elijah McCollum added 4 points each. Tony Jordan led the Vikings with 10 points.
Coach Matt Hill’s West Bladen jayvees evened their record at 2-2 and will host North Brunswick Tuesday.
