CLINTON – Center Tyleak Ballard powered in 10 of his game-high 15 points in the 1st half as West Bladen built a 22-15 halftime lead en route to a 44-35 Southeastern Athletic Conference jayvee basketball victory over Clinton.
The Dark Horses trimmed the margin to 31-26 at the 3rd quarter break, but Elijah McCollum tossed in 2 baskets, Charles Williams popped in a basket and 2 free throws, and Ballard sank 3 free throws to keep the Knights on top.
Noah Hall poured in 8 of his 10 points in the 1st half for West Bladen, and Cade Allen threw in 8 points. Camden Davis led Clinton with 9 points, and Jaymon Bryant and Javier Joyner scored 8 points each.
It was the 1st SAC-7 game for both teams, and Coach Matt Hill’s Knights improved to 4-3 overall.
