BLADENBORO – Javonta Matthews poured in 17 points Tuesday night to lead West Bladen to a 46-34 Three Rivers Conference boys basketball victory over South Columbus.

Matthews popped in a basket and a free throw in the first half then lit up the scoreboard with a pair of 3-point bombs and four other baskets in the third quarter.

Teammate Donovan Stone fired in a 3-point shot and a trio of 2-point baskets to total 9 points in the game. Jadacus Register threw in 2 baskets in each half to finish with 8 points.

Joshua Lewis tallied 4 of his 5 points for the Knights in the first half, and Lance Soumahoro scored 4 points.

Coach Aaron Lane’s Knights will host rival East Bladen Friday night in their season finale.
