BLADENBORO – Sophomore Aiden Russ and freshman Jonah Bryan fired in goals as West Bladen rallied from an early deficit to edge St. Pauls 2-1 Wednesday in Southeastern Athletic Conference junior varsity boys’ soccer action.
After St. Pauls scored first, Russ took a feed from Bryan and drilled in the tying goal. Five minutes later Bryan raced to the goal and delivered the game-winning goal with 15:38 on the clock.
Freshman goalie Dylan Hernandez preserved the victory with 10 saves in goal for the Knights.
Coach Kristen Parker’s West Bladen jayvees improved to 4-1 on the season and are slated to host Midway Monday.
