ELIZABETHTOWN – Sophmore Xavier McKoy recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for the touchdown that lifted East Bladen to a 12-8 victory over Whiteville in the Three Rivers Conference jayvee football opener for both teams.
Sophmore Lawson Hester galloped 70 yards for the first Eagle touchdown. The victory evened the Eagles overall record at 1-1.
East Bladen travels to South Columbus Thursday night.
