FAIRMONT – Sophomore Darius Williamson scored 2 touchdowns Thursday night to lead East Bladen to a 36-8 Southeastern Athletic Conference jayvee football victory over Fairmont.
Sophomore Natoren Corbett and Kewone Maynor ran for a touchdown each for the winners. Cole Butler intercepted a Fairmont pass and returned it for a touchdown. Sophomore Chris Harding tallied a 2-point conversion for the Eagles.
Elijah Cain had a pass interception, and Justin Daniels recorded a quarterback sack for the Eagle defense.
It was the 1st conference game for Coach Zach Johnson’s Eagles who are 1-2 overall. The JV Eagles are currently scheduled to play at Red Springs next Thursday. The Red Devils are currently in a coronavirus quarantine.
