FootballWest Bladen rallied in the second half to overcome an 8-6 halftime deficit and post a 22-8 non-conference football victory at St. Pauls Thursday night.

“We played great in the second half,” said Knight Coach Kris Williams. “It was like night and day. We also had a lot less turnovers than last week.”

Kerron Washington scored two of the West Bladen touchdowns. Washington raced 70 yards with a kick-off return for one touchdown and also ran 40 yards from scrimmage for another Knight touchdown.

Teammate Dayvon Swindell broke loose for a 35-yard touchdown run. Swindell also ran for a 2-point conversion. Da’Quan Smith scored the other 2-point conversion for West Bladen.

The Knights evened their record at 1-1 with the victory.
