RED SPRINGS – East Bladen defeated Red Springs 13-11 Friday in Three Rivers Conference jayvee girls basketball action.
Aaniyah Jackson staked the Lady Eagles to an early 3-0 lead with a basket, and Mariah Smith made a free throw. The Lady Red Devils closed the gap to 3-2 at halftime.
Shanell McMillian fired in 2 baskets in the third quarter, and Aaniyah Jackson pumped in another basket to keep East Bladen ahead 9-8 at the quarter break.
Sierra Strickland pumped in a key fourth period basket, and Smith and McMillian sank free throws to pull out the win for the Lady Eagles.
Coach Megan Kirby’s Lady Eagles will host Fairmont Friday.
