ELIZABETHTOWN – Guard Shanell McMillian sank the tying free throw in regulation and made the winning free throw in overtime as East Bladen edged West Columbus 16-15 Tuesday night in Three Rivers Conference jayvee girls basketball action.
McMillian led the Lady Eagles with 10 points. Aaniyah Jackson, Sara Gargala and Johanna Parker threw in a basket each for the winners.
After the teams were tied 4-4 at the first quarter break, McMillian bombed in a 3-point shot for an 11-10 halftime lead. West Columbus inched ahead 15-14 at the third quarter break, before McMillian hit the tying free throw in the fourth quarter.
