ELIZABETHTOWN – Mariah Smith popped in a short jumper that put East Bladen ahead to stay en route to an 18-13 Three Rivers Conference jayvee girls basketball victory over West Bladen Friday.

The Lady Knights had taken a 13-12 lead into the final quarter, but the Lady Eagles closed the game with a 6-0 spurt. Smith and Aaniyah Jackson topped the East Bladen scoring with 5 points each. Shanell McMillian added 3 points.

Freshman Hannah Pait led all scorers for West Bladen with 10 points. Teammate Jamiyah Hall scored 3 points.

East Bladen will travel to Whiteville Tuesday, while West Bladen will host Fairmont.
