ELIZABETHTOWN – Freshman center Makayla Dixon fired in 11 points to lead East Bladen to a 30-22 jayvee girls Three Rivers Conference basketball victory over East Columbus Tuesday.
Lavada Jackson pumped in 7 points, and Azariah Rhodie tossed in 6 points for the Lady Eagles who rode a 10-2 second quarter spurt to a 12-7 halftime lead.
The Lady Gators trimmed the margin to 20-17 at the third quarter break, but a 10-5 closing run carried East Bladen to the victory.
Coach Megan Kirby’s Lady Eagles improved to 4-2 in the TRC and 5-2 overall. East Bladen will host Fairmont Wednesday at 4 p.m.
