WHITEVILLE – Freshman center Hannah Pait tossed in 9 points to lead West Bladen to an 18-14 Three Rivers Conference jayvee girls basketball victory over Whiteville Tuesday.
Alexandria Perez threw in a pair of baskets, and Pait dropped in one to keep the Lady Knights even at 6-6 in the first quarter.
Whiteville forged a 10-7 halftime lead, but a Pait basket and a Perez free throw tied the game 10-10 at the third quarter break.
Pait and Ocean Woody pumped in two baskets each in the final quarter as the Lady Knights rode an 8-4 surge to the victory.
Coach Wade Pait’s Knights will return to action on January 2nd after the Christmas break.
