DUBLIN – West Bladen rolled to a 25-7 victory over South Brunswick Tuesday in non-conference jayvee girls basketball action.
Freshman Kaycee Singletary drained a 3-point shot, and freshman Lexie Corrothers dropped in a basket and a free throw as the Lady Knights grabbed an early 8-0 lead. Baskets by Singletary and Carly Dawson kept the margin at 12-5 at halftime.
Dawson and Anna Moser threw in baskets in the third quarter that grew the lead to 17-5. Corrothers tossed in 2 baskets and 2 free throws in the final quarter and led the Lady Knights with 9 points.
Dawson finished with 6 points and Singletary added 5 for the winners. Coach Joe Lewis’ Lady Knights improved to 2-0 and will travel to West Columbus Wednesday for a 4 p.m. game.
