DUBLIN – Chasitty Lacy fired in 13 points to lead unbeaten West Bladen to a 27-19 non-conference jayvee girls basketball victory over West Columbus.
Freshman Lexie Corrothers carried the early scoring load for the Lady Knights tossing in 2 baskets in the first period and 2 more in the second quarter as the home team edged ahead 13-12. Kwashera Champman sank 3 free throws for the winners in the second period.
Lacy bombed in a pair of 3-point shots and added a 2-point goal as the Lady Knights stretched their lead to 22-14 at the quarter break then hit 3 free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Corrothers finished with 8 points, and Chapman totaled 4 points for West Bladen.
Coach Joe Lewis’ Lady Knights improved to 6-0 with the win.
