BOILING SPRING LAKE – Freshman Lexie Corrothers poured in 15 points to lead West Bladen to a 38-10 non-conference jayvee girls victory Friday over South Brunswick.

Corrothers pumped in 2 baskets in the first quarter, and Kwashera Chapman netted a free throw as the Lady Knights grabbed a 5-2 lead.

Corrothers drained a 3-point shot and another basket in the second period, and freshman Kasee Singletary threw in 2 baskets in the quarter as the West Bladen lead grew to 16-7 at halftime. Chasitty Lacy tallied a Lady Knight basket in the quarter.

West Bladen blew the game open with a 13-2 third quarter blitz. Singletary tossed in 2 baskets and a free throw, Corrothers netted 2 more baskets, and Lacy added one to stretch the lead moreto 29-9.

Lacy bombed in a 3-point shot and another basket in the final quarter. Indra Rodriguez and Corrothers tacked on one more basket each for the winners.

Singletary and Lacy finished with 9 points each. Coach Joe Lewis’ Lady Knights remained unbeaten at 5-0 and will host West Columbus Friday at 4 p.m.
