WHITEVILLE – Whiteville built leads of 19-3 and 31-11 en route to a 57-19 Three Rivers Conference jayvee girls basketball victory over West Bladen Friday.
Kia Lewis sank 2 free throws,and freshman Makayla Wright made one in the first period for the Lady Knights. Wright fired in 2 baskets and 2 free throws in the second quarter, and Anniya Phillips threw in a basket.
Wright pumped in a basket and a free throw in the third quarter and led the Lady Knights with 10 points. Azillyah McDonald bombed in a 3-point shot in the final period for West Bladen, and freshman teammate Whitney McLean tossed in a basket.
West Bladen, now 3-10, will travel to West Columbus Tuesday.
