ST PAULS – Sophmore Suliamon Algozy headed in the tying goal for East Bladen Wednesday night as the Eagles battled St. Pauls to a 1-1 tie in the Three Rivers Conference junior varsity opener for both teams.
“We gave up a goal early, but fought the entire game,” said Eagle Coach Jay Raynor. “The boys did an amazing job today. We had limited subs, and the boys battled through injuries and never quit. We played some good soccer as well.”
The East Bladen jayvees will travel to Lumberton Thursday for a 5:15 game.
