FAIRMONT – Sophomore Jordan Kinlaw pitched 5 strong innings and struck out nine batters Tuesday to lead East Bladen to a 9-3 Three Rivers Conference jayvee softball victory over Fairmont.

East Bladen’s Joi Kemp led off the game and came around to score the first East Bladen run. After Fairmont scored 2 runs in the home first, Sara Corriveau drew a walk and scored the tying run for East in the second inning.

Adrienne Howell and Grey Guy scored runs in the third inning to put the Lady Eagles ahead 4-2. Howell, Kinlaw, Qudasia Monroe, Corriveau and Shelby Smith scored runs during a 5-run fifth inning that stretched the East lead to 9-2.

Coach Chase Lancaster’s Lady Eagle jayvees will host St. Pauls Friday.
