LAKE WACCAMAW – East Columbus scored 17 runs in the first two innings and defeated West Bladen 17-6 Friday in Three Rivers Conference softball action.
The Lady Knights scored all six of their runs in the third inning. Katelyn Tatum and Ivanay Louis drew walks, and pitcher Taylor West knocked in both runners with a single. Katie Guyton belted a single that scored West.
Amelia Brisson drove in Guyton with a single, and Summer Addington smacked a single that scored Brisson. Emily Pait swatted a single that scored Addington with the sixth run.
West batted 2-2 with 2 runs batted in and a run scored to lead the West Bladen hitters. Guyton, Brisson, Addington, Pait and Madison Walters connected for one hit each for the Lady Knights. Tatum, Louis, Guyton, Brisson and Addington scored one run each for West Bladen.
