LUMBERTON – Sophomore Kayleigh Martin pitched a no-hitter and struck out 12 batters to lead Lumberton to a 14-0 non-conference jayvee softball victory over West Bladen Tuesday.
Sophomore Emma Jones and freshman Kayla Ortt slugged home runs for the Lady Pirates. Tiara Stueck and Curley McGirt belted 2 hits each, and Martin slammed a 2-run double.
Gracie Faircloth and Briley Stanley drew walks, and Olivia Allen was hit by a pitch to account for the Lady Knights only base-runners.
The Lady Knights, now 4-3-1, will host Lumberton Monday at 5 p.m.
