Meagen Brady pitched a no-hitter, and freshman Erika McKoy slugged a home run to lead West Bladen to a 17-1 non-conference jayvee softball victory over visiting South Robeson Thursday.
Brady struck out 3 and allowed only one walk and an unearned run in the 3-inning game. McKoy batted a perfect 2-2 with the home run and 3 runs batted in.
Brittany Landreth slammed a double and drove in 2 runs for West. Teammate Katie Ezzell knocked in 2 runs with a single.
Brady, Indiyah Williams and Elizabeth Allbright all batted 1-1 with a run batted in for the Lady Knights.
Coach Joe Lewis’ Lady Knight jayvees improved to 2-0 on the season.
