ELIZABETHTOWN – Sophmore Erica McKoy slugged a home run and batted 4-5 to lead West Bladen to a 23-11 Four County Conference jayvee softball victory over East Bladen Tuesday.
 
McKoy also doubled and scored 5 runs for the winners. Freshman Kasee Singletary finished 3-4 at the plate, scored 3 runs and hammered a double and a triple. Teammate Elizabeth Allbright batted 3-4 and scored a run.
 
Freshman Jordan Benson turned in a 3-4 day at the plate and scored 3 runs for West. Kaitlyn Willoughby batted 2-3 and scored twice, and Indiyah Williams slammed a double, a triple and scored twice.
 
Winning pitcher Brittany Landreth and Erica Storms connected for 2 hits each. Landreth scored twice and Storms scored a run. Katie Guyton and Sarah Allen added one hit each. Guyton scored 3 runs, and Allen and Summer Addington scored one run each.
 
Trinity Stephens batted 2-2 to lead the East Bladen hitters. Freshmen Adrienne Howell and Lorna Mendell both finished 2-3 at the plate and both scored runs. Pitcher Olivia Hollingsworth batted 2-3 and scored 2 runs each.
 
Freshman Abby Cross walloped a triple and scored a run for East. Teammates Kirsten Starkloff and Carleigh Devane smacked one hit each. Haley Mason and Starkloff scored 2 runs each, and Johanna Parker scored a run.
 
West Bladen jumped in front 2-0 in the top of the first, but the Lady Eagles answered with 7 runs in the bottom of the inning. West Bladen tied the game with 5 runs in the second then went ahead to stay with 7 runs in the third inning.
 
Coach Joe Lewis’ Lady Knights improved to 2-1 in league play and 5-4 overall.
