BLADENBORO – West Bladen and East Columbus played to a 4-4 tie Thursday, but the game was stopped by the jayvee time limit in the bottom of the 5th inning.

The Lady Knights scored all 4 of their runs in the 3rd inning. Kylie Duffle walked, and Megan Pait and Kaitlyn Brisson both reached base on errors. Gracie Faircloth’s fielder’s choice retired Pait and scored Duffle.

Brisson scored to edge the Lady Knights ahead 2-1. Lauren Pait walked, and Hannah Richardson knocked in Faircloth and Pait with a single to left that gave West a 4-1 lead.

East Columbus scored 2 runs in the 4th inning and one in the 5th to tie the score. West Bladen had 2 runners on base with 2 out in the home 5th when time ran out.

Brisson hammered a double and batted 2-for-3 to lead the Lady Knight hitters. Faircloth belted a single and scored a run. Richardson smacked the 2-run single, and Pait and Duffle drew walks and scored runs.

Faircloth pitched all 5 innings for West Bladen and allowed 4 runs – 3 earned – on 7 hits and a walk while striking out four.

Coach Joe Lewis’ Lady Knights are 2-0-1 in Three Rivers Conference play and 4-2-1 overall. West Bladen will travel to Lumberton at 4:30 Tuesday for a non-conference game.
