CLINTON – Clinton won the deciding set 15-9 and defeated West Bladen 2-1 in Southeastern Athletic Conference junior varsity volleyball action by set scores of 26-24, 14-25 and 15-9.
Kaitlyn Brisson hammered in 6 kills, 5 service points, 1 ace and had 2 assists for the Lady Knights. Kylie Durden racked up 7 service points, 3 assists and 2 digs. Junior Whitney McLean filled up the stat sheet with 3 aces, 3 service points, 2 kills and 2 blocks.
Karly Ross keyed the West Bladen attack with 6 assists, 6 service points, 2 kills and 1 ace. Marlene Crabtree drilled in 6 service points, 1 ace and 1 kill. Alina Chavez pounded in 4 kills, and Shanyla Hunter fired in 4 service points and had 2 digs.
The Lady Knights, now 7-4 in league play and 10-6 overall, will host Red Springs Saturday at 10 a.m. in a make-up game.
