ELIZABETHTOWN – East Bladen defeated Red Springs 2-0 on Tuesday in Three Rivers Conference jayvee volleyball action by set scores of 26-24 and 27-25.

Freshman Emma Turbeville drilled in 11 service points, 2 aces and 2 kills to lead the winners scoring. Freshman AnnaGrey Heustess slammed in 5 kills and 3 service points.

Freshman Karli Priest served out both sets for the Lady Eagles. In the first set, Priest reeled off 6 straight service points to rally East from a 24-20 deficit. Priest totaled 8 service points and 2 aces.

Freshman Maegan Burney fired in 2 service points and 2 kills for East Bladen. Sophomore Merritt Martin and Anette Munoz tallied 2 service points each. Munoz had one ace, and Cydney Campbell added a kill.

The Lady Eagles improved to 5-5 in league play and 7-6 overall and will travel to West Columbus on Thursday.
