East Bladen pulled out a pair of close games at Whiteville Wednesday by scores of 25-22 and 25-20 to claim a 2-0 non-conference jayvee volleyball victory.
Sophomore Hannah DeVane racked up 9 service points, an ace and 2 kills to lead the East Bladen attack. Freshman Ashley Hardin fired in 3 aces and totaled 6 service points and 2 assists.
Bethany Lesane tallied 6 service points for the winners, and sophomore Shardajah Brown collected 2 service points, an ace, a kill and a dig. Teammate Jozee Strickland added 2 service points, an ace, a kill and a block.
Sophomore Kaley Smith contributed 2 service points for the Lady Eagles, and Alexa Hernanaez knocked in a kill.
The East Bladen jayvees are now 2-0 on the season and will host East Columbus Monday at 4:30.
