Bladen County VolleyballMidway rallied after dropping the first game 25-21 to win the next two games 25-13 and 25-10 and defeat East Bladen 2-1 Thursday in their Four County Conference jayvee volleyball opener at Midway.

Freshman Ashley Hardin led the Lady Eagles with 7 assists, 7 service points and a kill. Teammate Shardajah Brown knocked in 4 kills and 2 service points.

Junior Alexa Hernanaez tallied 5 service points and a kill for East Bladen. Teammate Bethany Lesane slammed in 4 kills and 2 service points and had one assist.

Sophomore Kaley Smith was credited with 3 assists and 2 service points for East, and Dyasia McDowell smacked in 2 kills, an ace and a service point.

Sophomore Faith Johnson belted in 2 kills the Lady Eagles, and Jozee Strickland added 2 service points, an ace and a kill.

The East jayvees are now 4-3 overall.
