Pender fought back after dropping the first game and edged East Bladen 2-1 Thursday in Four County Conference jayvee volleyball action at East by game scores of 21-25, 25-9 and 25-12.
Freshman Ashley Hardin fired in 8 service points, 2 aces and 5 kills and collected 5 assists to lead the Lady Eagles. Teammate Shardajah Brown knocked in 5 service points, 3 kills and an ace.
Sophomore Kaley Smith tallied 3 assists, 2 service points, an ace and a kill for East Bladen, and teammate Dyasia McDowell finished with 3 service points, 2 aces and 2 kills.
Sophomore Faith Johnson added 2 service points, Jozee Strickland contributed 2 service points and an ace, and Bethany Lesane had a kill and a service point for the winners.
The East Bladen jayvees are now 4-5 overall.
