Pender rallied to take the final two sets and defeat visiting East Bladen 2-1 Tuesday by set scores of 14-25, 25-11 and 25-7 in Four County Conference jayvee volleyball action.
Freshman Ashley Hardin led the Lady Eagles with 9 service points, an ace and 4 assists. Teammate Jozee Strickland fired in 2 aces and 6 service points.
Bethany Lesane hammered in 4 kills, 2 aces and 4 service points for East Bladen. Sophomore Faith Johnson pounded in 5 kills, and teammate Alexa Hernandez added 3 service points and a kill.
Sarah Johnson tallied 2 service points and an ace for East, and sophomore Kaley Smith contributed 2 assists and a service point.
East Bladen’s jayvees are now 6-10 on the season and will host Heide Trask Thursday at 4:30.
