DUBLIN – South Brunswick defeated West Bladen 2-0 Tuesday in the non-conference jayvee volleyball opener for both schools by game scores of 25-8 and 25-11.

Freshman Khadijah Jones fired in 5 service points, 4 aces and a kill to lead the Lady Knights. Teammate Jordan Benson knocked in a kill, an ace and 2 service points.

Erica Storms slammed in 2 kills and a service point, and Alana King contributed a kill and a service point. Madison Cain, Indra Rodriguez and Cheyenne Lewis tallied one service point each for West Bladen.

“The score doesn’t reflect the way the girls played,” said West Bladen Coach Gaye Davis. “South Brunswick is a great team. I am very proud of the way we played and looking forward to a great season.”

The two teams will play again Thursday at South Brunswick.
