BLADENBORO – South Columbus defeated West Bladen 2-0 Tuesday by set scores of 25-12 and 25-17 in Three Rivers Conference jayvee volleyball action.
Freshman Whitney McLean hammered in 4 kills and 3 service points for the Lady Knights. Emily Young drilled in 2 kills, 2 aces and 2 service points. Alyssa Suggs slammed in 3 kills, a service point and had 2 digs.
Caroline Brisson sparked the Lady Knight defense with 7 digs and added 2 service points and a kill. Catherine Dowless was credited with 5 digs and a kill. Lydia Villagomez belted in one kill, and Kennedy Carroll and Kylee Ward had one dig each.
West Bladen, now 4-2 in league play and 6-2 overall, will host rival East Bladen Thursday night.
