TABOR CITY – South Columbus defeated West Bladen 2-0 on Thursday night in Three Rivers Conference jayvee volleyball action by set scores of 25-12 and 25-10.
Alyssa Suggs pounded in 4 kills, a service point and had a dig for the Lady Knights. Freshman Caroline Brisson sparked the defense with 5 digs and had one ace. Sophomore Kylee Ward fired in 2 service points.
Lydia Villagomez hammered in 3 kills for West Bladen. Emily Young slammed in 2 kills and had 2 assists. Freshman Whitney McLean knocked in 2 kills, an ace and a service point.
Catherine Dowless finished with an ace and 2 digs for the visitors, and Kayla Norris smacked in a kill.
West Bladen, now 7-8 in conference play and 9-8 overall, will close out their season at East Bladen on Tuesday night.
