BLADENBORO – West Bladen swept Clinton 2-0 Wednesday in Southeastern Athletic Conference junior varsity volleyball action by set scores of 25-14 and 25-18.
Kierra Lewis slammed in 6 kills, a block, 4 service points and had 1 dig for the Lady Knights. Sophomore Marlene Crabtree drilled in 4 aces, 2 other service points and 2 kills. Freshman Kali Allen belted in 3 service points and 1 ace.
Freshman Jahyra Priest fired in 7 service points that included 1 ace for West Bladen. Freshman Natalee Sykes dished out 4 assists and collected 2 service points. Sophomore Marlie Walters rang up 4 service points that included 1 ace.
Emme Bryant sparked the defense with 4 digs and added 2 service points for the winners. Freshman Makenna Thurman knocked in 2 kills. Freshman Brenna Hester smacked in 1 ace, another service point and had 1 dig. Tah’lea Bethea and Jaylyn Clark swatted in 1 kill each.
Coach Kaitlyn Sykes’ Lady Knights, improved to 5-2 in SAC-7 play and 8-6 overall, West Bladen will travel to East Bladen Tuesday.
