BLADENBORO – West Bladen battled back to win the 3rd set and defeated East Bladen 2-1 Thursday by set scores of 25-12, 13-25 and 15-10 in the final Three Rivers Conference volleyball game of the season for both teams.
Sophomore Makayla Wright pounded in 11 kills, 3 aces, another service point and had one assist for West. Karly Ross fired in 11 service points that included 2 aces and had an assist. Trinity Meares slammed in 4 kills.
Madilyn Walters racked up 11 service points that included 4 aces and 2 kills for the Lady Knights. Kaitlyn Brisson drilled in an ace, 3 other service points and a kill. Kennedy Carroll was credited with 2 assists and 2 service points.
Kylie Durden knocked in 4 service points that included an ace and had one dig for West. Shanyla Hunter collected 3 digs, and Jenna McLean had one dig.
Coach Kaitlin Sykes’ Lady Knights completed the season with a 3-5 league record and 5-6 overall mark. East Bladen was also 3-5 in TRC play and 4-7 overall.
