BLADENBORO – West Bladen swept East Columbus 2-0 Monday in Three Rivers Conference jayvee volleyball action by set scores of 25-23 and 25-7.
Ashlyn Cox drilled in 6 aces, 5 service points, a kill and had one dig for the Lady Knights. Freshman Hannah Pait hammered in 5 kills and 5 service points. Freshman Lauren Pait racked up 5 service points, 2 aces and a dig.
Caroline Brisson filled up the stat sheet with 6 service points, 2 aces, 2 assists and a dig for the winners. Freshman Kylee Ward knocked in 3 kills, a service point and had one dig. Freshman Savannah Turbeville pounded in 2 kills.
Sophmore Alyssa Suggs and Haleigh Fields spiked in one kill each for West. Oliva Allen added one dig.
“The girls played extremely well,” said Lady Knight Coach Gaye Davis. “I am so proud of the way they fought for the win.”
West Bladen will host rival East Bladen Tuesday at 4:30.
