BLADENBORO –West Bladen’s jayvees claimed their 10th victory of the season Tuesday by sweeping Midway in Southeastern Athletic Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-17 and 25-19.
Kylie Durden filled up the stat sheet with 7 service points, 5 aces, 5 assists and a dig for the Lady Knights. Kaitlyn Brisson poured in 10 service points, 2 kills, a block and had 1 assist. Shanyla Hunter keyed the Lady Knight defense with 7 digs and fired in 8 service points.
Karly Ross sparked the West Bladen offense with 10 assists and swatted in 4 kills, a service point and had 2 digs. Emily Young pounded in 10 kills, 1 ace and 1 block. Marlene Crabtree slammed in 6 kills and a service point, and Harmony Jacobs added 1 kill.
Coach Kaitlyn Sykes’ Lady Knights improved to 7-3 in conference play and 10-5 overall. West Bladen will travel to Clinton Thursday at 4:30.
