BLADENBORO – Makayla Wright blasted in 6 kills, 6 aces and 6 other service points to lead West Bladen to a 2-0 Three Rivers Conference jayvee volleyball victory over Red Springs Tuesday by set scores of 25-17 and 25-12.
Kennedy Carroll drilled in an ace, 7 other service points, 2 kills and had 3 assists for the winners. Jenna McLean knocked in 4 aces, another service point and 2 kills. Kylie Durden slammed in 2 kills and had a dig.
Kaitlyn Brisson fired in 6 service points that included 2 aces and one kill for West. Trinity Meares hammered in 4 kills. Karly Ross contributed a kill and a dig, and Shanyla Hunter had one dig.
Coach Kaitlyn Sykes’ Lady Knights evened their league record at 1-1 and improved to 3-2 overall. West Bladen will travel to East Columbus Thursday for a 4:30 game.
