ST PAULS – West Bladen outlasted St. Pauls 19-17 in a marathon 3rd set and defeated the Lady Bulldogs 2-1 in Southeastern Athletic Conference jayvee volleyball action Thursday by set scores of 14-25, 25-12 and 19-17.
Freshman Marlie Walters fired in 8 aces, 5 kills, 1 service point and had 2 digs for the winners. Freshman Marlene Crabtree hammered in 8 kills and 3 service points. Kaitlyn Brisson knocked in 6 service points, 2 kills and 1 ace.
Sophomore Maddie Walters slammed in 6 kills, 2 service points and had 3 digs. Kylie Durden tallied 3 digs, 2 service points and 1 ace. Karly Ross totaled 2 digs, 1 service point and 1 ace.
Coach Kaitlyn Sykes’ Lady Knights raised their record to 6-3 in league play and 9-5 overall. West Bladen will host Midway Tuesday at 4:30.
