BLADENBORO – West Bladen’s Lady Knight jayvees captured their 2nd victory of the season Tuesday defeating West Columbus 2-0 by set scores of 25-18 and 25-1.
Freshman Kali Allen poured in 15 aces and 11 other service points for the winners and had 1 assist. Freshman Natalee Sykes filled up the stat sheet with 3 kills, 3 service points, 2 aces and 4 assists. Kiera Lewis pounded in 3 kills.
Freshman Makenna Thurman slammed in 2 kills for the Lady Knights. Freshman Brenna Hester drilled in 2 aces. Sophomore Marlie Walters delivered an ace and a service point. Emme Bryant tallied a service point.
Helaina Conklin slammed in an ace and a kill for West Bladen, and Marlene Crabtree and Tah’lea Bethea knocked in 1 kill each.
Coach Kaitlyn Sykes’ Lady Knights improved to 2-1 and will host South Columbus Thursday at 4:30.
