ST PAULS – West Bladen junior Kaden Thurman has been named the 2021 Southeastern Athletic Conference Girls’ Tennis Player of the Year. In league play she won 9 of 10 singles matches and posted an 8-2 record in doubles matches.
Thurman was the top seed in the SAC-7 tournament due to having the best record in singles play during the season. She advanced to the championship match where she dropped a 6-1, 3-6, 5-7 decision to Clinton’s Zoey Brewer but still qualified for the Class 2A MidEast Regionals.
