Clarkton native and upcoming junior in the UNCW golf program Kayla Thompson advanced to the semi-finals in the Carolina Women’s Match Play Golf Championship being played at Bermuda Run C.C. West Course in Winston Salem. Thompson advanced to the semi-finals by defeating Sarah Bae in 19 holes and Ashley Thompson 3 and 2.
Thompson was defeated 3 and 2 by Madison Cox of Easley, S.C.in the semi-finals.
