West Bladen graduate Kayla Thompson of Clarkton, a senior at UNCW, shot 71-76-73=220 (four over par) to take 16th place in the Furman Lady Paladin Invitational Golf Tourney held this past weekend in Greenville, S. C.
The UNCW Lady Seahawks took 8th place with a score of 890. Furman won the tournament with a score of 857. There were 15 teams with 85 lady golfers playing.
The next tournament for UNCW will be the Ruth’s Criss Tar Heel Invitational held October 13-15 in Chapel Hill.
