The White Oak Dike in Kelly damage has created much debate in recent months. The responsibility of who is to repair the dike has been in question.

Announced today, the Bladen County Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 according to Bladen County Board of Commissioners Chairman, Charles Ray Peterson.

Rep. David Rouzer said there is little his office can do — at least as far as fixing the White Oak Dike according to a report by WECT. However, Bladen County Manager Greg Martin said earlier this week in a chamber meeting repair for the dike will be federally assisted.

This community meeting will be regarding the White Oak Dike Levee System.
The meeting will be held at the Centerville Baptist Church, 18577
NC 53 East, Kelly, NC 28448.
