Ms. Kristina Sanchez, former Miss North Carolina Latina, spoke to the Elizabethtown Middle School Girls with P.E.A.R.L.S. leadership program organized by Dr. Renee Steele.
Sanchez talked to the girls about having a good attitude said Steele. Ms. Sanchez told the girls that having a good attitude will take them far in life. While attending UNC-Pembroke, Sanchez told the girls that she was in a rigorous academic program while fulfilling her duties as Miss North Carolina Latina. She said there were times she didn’t feel like being a student or attending a function but she had to push past her feelings and demonstrate a good attitude.
She concluded her message by encouraging the girls to seek opportunities that will improve themselves so they can be successful in life.
