The art of September Krueger and the photography of Curtis Krueger will continue to be on exhibit at the Bladenboro Visual Arts Council gallery through January 1st.

The art gallery and museum rooms are on the second floor of the Bladenboro Historical Society building, 818 South Main Street, Bladenboro.  Open hours are 2 until 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

September Krueger is a fiber artist and printmaker from Wilmington, N.C. She draws inspiration from nature and mythology for her quilts and prints.  Her work begins with hand woven or hand painted cloth that is manipulated with layers of printing and stitching.  She is currently the art instructor for Southeastern Community College in Whiteville, N.C., and has served as an A+ Fellow since 2012  teaching arts integration in summer institutes and classroom residencies.

Curtis Krueger studied art at Eastern Michigan University, earning a BFA, along with two teaching certificates.  He discovered his incurable photo bug while taking a darkroom class at school.  Some of his earliest memories are drawing with his father at the dining room table.  A great deal of time was spent outdoors.  He still travels constantly, shooting images and participating at fine art festivals all along the east coast.
