MYRTLE BEACH, SC – East Bladen grad Lacey Suggs turned in a trio of double-figure scoring games this week for UNC-Wilmington.
Tuesday night Suggs tossed in 17 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 3 assists, but her Lady Seahawks dropped a 75-63 decision to Winthrop.
Thursday night in the Carolinas Challenge at Myrtle Beach, Suggs poured in 20 points, pulled down 4 rebounds and had 2 steals, but Catawba outlasted UNC-Wilmington 78-75 in overtime.
In their second game in the Challenge Friday night, the Lady Seahawks were defeated by North Carolina 85-45. Suggs fired in 10 points and snatched 4 rebounds against the 9-1 Tar Heels.
Through 11 games the White Lake native is second on the team in scoring with an 11.9 average and is second in rebounds with 5.1 per game.
