East Bladen’s Lacey Suggs turned in a couple of double-figure scoring performances this week as her UNC-Wilmington Lady Seahawks posted wins over East Carolina and College of Charleston.

Friday night, Suggs fired in 16 points to go with 7 rebounds and 3 assists as the Lady Seahawks rolled past College of Charleston 71-49 in their Colonial Athletic Association opener. The 5-10 junior connected on 6 of 12 shots from the field and 3 of 4 free throws.

Last Sunday, Suggs racked up 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in a 71-68 UNC-Wilmington non-conference victory at East Carolina. The White Lake native has started all 12 games this season and is averaging 8.5 points and 5 rebounds while playing 28 minutes per game.
