WILMINGTON – East Bladen grad Lacey Suggs fired in 6 of her 13 points for UNC Wilmington in the final quarter Sunday, but William & Mary held off the Lady Seahawks at the foul line to claim a 63-55 Colonial Athletic Association victory.

Suggs buried a 3-point shot to tie the game a final time at 43-43 with 8:15 left to play. The senior guard added a free throw and a jumper from the lane, but the Tribe made 8 of 10 free throws in the final 47 seconds to pull out the win.

Suggs grabbed 5 rebounds and collected 2 steals. The White Lake native is the Lady Seahawks leading rebounder (5.2 per game) and second leading scorer (12.5).

UNC Wilmington will travel to Towson Friday night for a 7 p.m. game.
