East Bladen grad Lacey Suggs totaled 27 points and 7 steals as her UNC-Wilmington Lady Seahawks split a pair of Colonial Athletic Association games this weekend.

Suggs filled up the stat sheet with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 assists as the Lady Seahawks defeated William & Mary 72-55 Friday night.

The White Lake native connected on 7 of 11 shots from the field and fired in a team-high 17 points Sunday, but UNC-Wilmington dropped a 77-53 decision at Elon. 

Suggs has scored in double-figures in 7 consecutive games to raise her average to 12.6 points per game. The senior guard also leads the team in rebounding with 5.1 per game. 

UNC-Wilmington, now 2-2 in CAA play, will host James Madison Friday night and Towson Sunday afternoon.
